Naomi Luscombe is a photographic artist and BA (Hons) Photography Graduate who focuses on photography of the emotive kind but more recently working with creating abstract imaginary spaces that go beyond visual appreciation to challenge the normal perspective of the things around us and the way we 'read' images.

Naomi started photographing from a young age. Since then her passion for photography has grown and she now has a degree in the field and is also studying at MA level. A creative and passionate photographer and artist, with the want to improve, learn and to keep developing.

Her current work focuses on Alternative Spaces which is the transformation of previous works - through the act of re-working and delayering. The resulting photographs allude to imaginary and infinite spaces or as Foucault states, “a virtual space that opens up behind the surface”.

“The mirror is, after all, a utopia, since it is a placeless place. In the mirror, I see myself there where I am not, in an unreal, virtual space that opens up behind the surface.” Michel Foucault, Of Other Spaces (1967)
