Alternative Spaces is the transformation of previous works - through the act of re-working and delayering. The resulting photographs allude to imaginary and infinite abstract spaces or as Foucault states, “a virtual space that opens up behind the surface”.

“The mirror is, after all, a utopia, since it is a placeless place. In the mirror, I see myself there where I am not, in an unreal, virtual space that opens up behind the surface.” Michel Foucault, Of Other Spaces (1967)
